The PETRACKR® system is pre-coded so there are no separate steps or requirements to code the
analyzer. PETRACKR® Mid Control Solution is only required if you notice questionable results, or you have dropped or damaged the meter in any way. PETRACKR® greatly reduces the steps needed to get accurate readings every time.

The PETRACKR® Blood Glucose Test Strips are pre-calibrated for cats and dogs, so you do not have to
perform this function to get accurate readings.

Humans, cats and dogs each have a different medical makeup of their blood. Using a meter not designed or set for the right species will be using ranges not designed for that animal. This could lead to readings that are either too low or high, and incorrect calculations for insulin requirements. PETRACKR® can only be used for cats and dogs, and you can switch the settings between the two pet types to ensure you are getting the correct information.

Other meter strips draw blood from the top of the strip while PETRACKR® Blood Glucose Test Strips
draw from the side. Find the stripe across the strip and line up the stripe on the drop of blood. This will
draw the blood into the channel and register with the meter. Detailed instructions are in the PETRACKR® Owner’s Manual, on the PETRACKR® website.

Yes, a
renowned veterinary university has published a study validating PETRACKR®This study established that PETRACKR® is effectively as reliable as a laboratory method (95% accurate). A report on the study can be viewed in the ‘NEWS’ section of the PETRACKR® website.

Diagnostic equipment may vary from system to system for several reasons, including differences in application methods, chemicals and materials used, calibration processes, traceability to reference
methods, and other factors. If your analyzer indicates that your results are within range, this typically reflects a valid result. However, if you have concerns about accuracy, you can perform a control test using
the PETRACKR® Mid Control Solution, which is included in your test kit or available for separate purchase.
Detailed instructions can be found in the PETRACKR® Owner’s Manual or on the PETRACKR® website. If
you still have concerns after performing a control test, please consult your veterinarian.

New Diabetic Pet Owners

Once your pet is diagnosed with diabetes, your veterinarian will provide instructions on when to test,
what insulin to use, and any other medical information you would need to be an active participant in your pet’s health. If you feel there are gaps, or you need additional information you need to contact your veterinarian for clarification. You should also inform your veterinarian of other lifestyle and/or health changes to ensure there are no conflicts with the treatment plan.

To ensure you are obtaining your sample correctly using PETRACKR®, refer to the Quick Start guide, PETRACKR® website, or package inserts. If you need additional tips regarding the handling of your pet to
obtain the sample, we recommend consulting your veterinarian.

In order to accurately measure glucose levels, test strips and control solutions have a limited shelf life which is noted on the packaging and containers. It is also important that you keep the materials in their respective containers and away from heat sources. They do NOT require refrigeration.
