Humans, cats and dogs each have a different medical makeup of their blood. Using a meter not designed for the right species will be using incorrect ranges. This could lead to readings that are either too low or high, and incorrect calculations for insulin requirements. PETRACKR® can only be used for cats and dogs, and you can switch the settings between the two pet types to ensure you are getting the correct information.
The PETRACKR® Blood Glucose Test Strips are pre-calibrated for cats and dogs, so you do not have to perform this function to get accurate readings.
Yes, a renowned veterinary university has published a study validating PETRACKR®. This study established that PETRACKR® is effectively as reliable as a laboratory method (95% accurate).
